The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is in discerning households in many countries of the world where it is cherished for its charming personality, its elegant appearance, its adaptable temperament and its intelligent and playful responsiveness to its owners and surroundings. It is known and prized for its exceptionally affectionate and endearing nature.
The Cavalier combines the finest attributes of the active, alert sporting spaniels, always eager to share lively, new outdoor adventures and the loyal, steadfast companion dog that welcomes hours of repose while snuggled serenely at home beside its owner.
These distinctive characteristics are as much esteemed in the contemporary world as they were in the 17th Century England. The devotion of King Charles II to these spaniels is indelibly recorded in the name of the breed.
Today, owners in the United States can depend on the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club, USA (CKCSC) to guide members on such vital matters as breed soundness and the best means of assuring health and quality of life for their pets.
Whether you are seeking a Cavalier as a family pet or prospective show dog, your selection should never be based on a casual or impulse decision; it is an important commitment. You will spend many years together. Take care and take time to investigate thoroughly. Please avoid purchasing from pet shops, puppy mills, auctions, internet "mail order" vendors or brokers who import dogs from foreign countries. Please make every effort to buy from ethical, established breeders who fully health test their breeding stock and who will provide you, in writing, with the health certifications of the parents of their puppies. If you provide these wonderful dogs with a caring, loving home, they will reciprocate with their loyal devotion for all their lives.
The Cavalier is held in high esteem by all who own them -- they are creatures that have captured our hearts and paved the way to many more human friendships as well. These happy-hearted Spaniels make life more enjoyable and memories precious, their elegance decorates the world. Truly dogs for all seasons.
Nestled in the beautiful town of Manorville, New York. Our Cavaliers are part of our family. They live in the house, on the furniture and underfoot. We are proud of our four legged family members. We breed our Cavaliers only once a year for only a few years.
All our dogs are fully tested and certified for health prior to breeding. Each dog is AKC or ACA USA registered and we only consider using breeders with sires who also adhere to these requirements. As part of the breed standard a good temperament is just as vital to a pretty and sound Cavalier. As a responsible breeder, I have a responsibility to the Cavalier breed & it's future.

There are four colors of Cavaliers. Blenheim, Tricolor, Black and Tan, and Ruby. The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel belongs to the toy group. Cavaliers are sweet, loyal companions they have often been called "a golden retriever in a small package". Cavaliers are a flexible little breed and will do well in just about any type of living arrangements. They make excellent pets for both the young and old, get along with all types of animals, and adapt to a variety of different atmospheres. Cavaliers also make excellent therapy dogs! Cavaliers are NOT independent however. They were bred to be lap dogs, and do not do well without human companionship. They crave company and need to live in the home and love to sleep alongside their owner. The timing, sex and number of pups in our litters is up to nature. Should you be interested in a Cavalier pup and we do not have available puppies or the timing is not right, we are personally connected to a network of amazing breeder friends and family across the United States and can help connect you as a courtesy to our network.

AM Wakes up: PICK HIM UP and out of his crate, in the beginning, and bring him to his poop-pee area (outside or a wee- wee pad) he will urinate right away. Feed him 1/3-1/2 cup of dry food at each meal with water at each meal.
Let him run around and in 10-20 minutes, take him out again to go potty, he will poop 1-2 times. Then he will play for about an hour (in an ex-pen, closed off area or being watch and played with in any room of your house.
He is a baby, they get tired and Sleep A LOT. Place him into his crate and close it, put a towel over it to make it darker for him in a quiet spot of your home. He will settle down and sleep for about 2 hours.
For lunch (around noon time) and dinner time (around 6 pm) do the same routine:
Wake him up preferably (so he won't urinate in the crate), bring him to his poop-pee area, (the x-pen is a great way to potty train right outside your door!) give him time to do his business, a pup/dog may urinate and poop a few times in one outing. Then feed/water, etc.
Before the last person goes to sleep, the pup should be walked again. He should sleep in his crate all night long in a quiet location in your home, with a towel over it to make it dark, if needed.
Give water with food at each meal. If the pup is panting - he is hot. He will need more water during the day and on hot days of course. Try not to give water after 6 pm or he will pee in his crate.
Cavaliers will morph to a time schedule that will work for you! Whatever you choose, just be persistent and CONSISTENT with it so potty training will work quickly.
Puppies will play and entertain themselves with the toys you give them. They will also want to follow you around the house and spend time with you. Place the pups COLLAR and LEASH ON " IN THE HOUSE " , hold the collar on your wrist or loop it on your pants, to easily follow you around and to get used to his New "indoor" space. This will also TRAIN him to FOLLOW You around the house easily, and it's an easy way to keep an eye on a puppy. Sitting at your computer? Step on the leash so the pup learns to stay with you - he will probably take a nap.
