They live in our home, sleep on our furniture, and go on vacations with us. We take pride in our four-legged family members. As responsible Cavalier breeders, we breed our Cavaliers only once a year for a few years, ensuring the highest quality. Our puppies are family-raised inside our home, where they benefit from the presence of both mom and dad to bond with and learn boundaries. These pups are our babies until they become yours, and we treat each one as the most precious puppy because they truly are. There are no kennels in our home; instead, we utilize breeding pens that provide a dedicated safe area for them to move about, play with their siblings, and have constant human interaction. All our dogs at East End Cavaliers are fully tested and certified for health prior to breeding. They all have:
- A heart clearance from an auscultation by a board-certified veterinary cardiologist that is consistent with prevailing cardiology protocols; however, the CKCSC, USA, recommends a minimum of a cardiology clearance at age 2.5 years

- A normal rating or within CERF breeder options from a screening by a board-certified veterinary ophthalmologist;
- No evidence of patella luxation from an evaluation by a licensed veterinarian; and
- A passing grade from an X-ray for hip dysplasia submitted to the OFA.
Each dog is registered with the AKC or ACA and we only consider using breeders with sires who also meet these requirements. As part of the breed standard, a good temperament is just as vital to a pretty and sound Cavalier. As a responsible breeder dedicated to the Cavalier breed and its future, we take our role seriously. Not everyone is approved for one of our Cavalier puppies, as we are 100% AGAINST backyard breeders and puppy mills/factories, and we will never sell to pet stores. Our East End Cavalier puppies are truly special. We utilize evidence-based research to ensure we are doing our utmost to produce healthy puppies from conception to the day they leave our home. We owe it to every life we create to ensure they will also be happy in their new homes. That is why not everyone who wants to buy a Cavalier puppy is approved.
